The calendar turned to November, just in time for the brackets to be opened to give shape to the MIAA football playoffs.

The Catholic Conference has secured a top-three finish in Division I and a top spot in Division II, and Catholic Memorial is looking for its third Super Bowl triumph in four seasons. Unbeaten Reading are top in D3, Shawsheen are top in D5, Hudson is favorite in D6 and Uxbridge looks capable of repeating as top seed in D7.

There are plenty of contenders and sleepers in every division to compete for the Super Bowl, which will take place Dec. 4-6 at Gillette Stadium.

The boys soccer tournament features 212 teams from five divisions. Top teams Newton South (D1), Wakefield (D2), Pope Francis (D3), Cohasset (D4) and Boston International (D5) will be looking to establish themselves as the top teams in the state while others will be looking to knock them out of the tournament . turn them off.

MIAA Boys Soccer Tournament Schedule and Results


Natick is ranked No. 1 in the Division I women’s soccer tournament and is the defending champion.Glenn Osmundson

The women’s football tournament features 207 teams from five divisions. Defending champion Natick is ranked first of the 36 teams that qualified for Division 1. Masconomet leads the 43 qualifiers in Division 2. Defending champion Norwell is ranked first in the 44-team Division 3 bracket. Division Four has 42 teams and top-placed Sutton is looking to defend its championship. There are 42 teams in the fifth division, with Douglas in first place.

MIAA Women’s Soccer Tournament Schedule and Results

The field hockey tournament is already in full swing, the first round will end on Sunday. See the latest results here.

Division 1 action will be as competitive as ever, with No. 1 seed Lincoln-Sudbury (3.6214 power rating), defending champion Walpole (3.5927) in second and Algonquin (3.2435) in third . No. 4 Andover will advance to the finals for the fourth straight time.

The LS took first place for the first time in 24 years. No. 7 Franklin, No. 8 Bishop Feehan and No. 12 Natick can do it.

Norwood, the No. 1 seed in Division 2, had the highest power rating (3.9832) in any division thanks to its tough schedule. Somerset Berkeley, ranked second, is always a serious threat, followed by Notre Dame-Hingham and Nashoba. Defending champions Reading are in eighth place after three straight defeats this month.

It’s déjà vu in Divisions 3 and 4 with defending champions Watertown and Uxbridge in position to lift the trophy again. However, if Watertown wants to win its 22nd title, the Raiders will have to do it from second place. Top-seeded Sandwich (20-0) has had an impressive season. Newburyport is in third place after a superb run to the finals last year. Uxbridge didn’t shy away from a challenging schedule with matches against Andover, Walpole and Algonquin. #2 Monomoy is preparing for another deep run.

MIAA Field Hockey Tournament Schedule and Results

The girls’ volleyball tournament is already underway, with the first round ending on Monday. See the latest results here.

197 teams compete in five divisions. Newton North, the top seed in Division 1, is hoping for a top three. While the Tigers have produced star hitters (Abigail Wright and Chloe Lee) over the past two years, senior hitter Devon Burke and a sophomore setter Sasha Selivan possibly the best duo in the state.

No. 2 Brooklyn and No. 4 Attleboro have a depth advantage, making them top contenders. Lincoln-Sudbury at No. 3, Needham at No. 5 and Barnstable at No. 7 are not far from the final performances.

In Division II, Westboro’s No. 1 hitter didn’t miss a hit despite two-time Massachusetts Gatorade Player of the Year Quinn Anderson. With the emergence of senior Georgia Tyrell as top striker and classmate of Sam Norman, the two-time defending champion Rangers are again coming off a season that would have been undefeated had they not played Newton North. Hockomock is well represented here with No. 2 Oliver Ames and No. 6 Canton. No. 3 Billerica and No. 7 Longmeadow remain undefeated.

Having won Division Three for the first time in 2023, Weston had a roller coaster of a season but managed to take top spot, returning almost the entire Championship squad. Medfield, last year’s runner-up, is in second place. #13 Shawsheen is the only undefeated competitor. No. 10 Dennis-Yarmouth and No. 4 Old Rochester played each other three postseasons in a row. If this happens a fourth time, it will be the finale.

Ipswich went unbeaten in the regular season as the Tigers. seek their fourth consecutive Division 4 title. They are in second place behind last year’s runners-up. Bellingham. Last time the teams played five sets. Another team that finished second this time around to take first place: Bourne in Division 5. Defending champion Mount Greylock is in fourth place.
