No, Trump didn’t explain the viral microphone moment by mentioning a corn dog.

After his viral moment with his microphone stand at a Nov. 1 rally in Milwaukee, many social media users thought former President Donald Trump simulate sexual intercourse Bye complain about his microphone.

Days later, social media users circulated what they said was Trump’s “Truth on Social Media” post refuting claims of what he did on stage by referencing the corn dog.

November 3 Publishing topics shared a screenshot of a Truth Social post that read in Trump-style all caps: “I DIDN’T HAVE ORAL SEX ON MY MICROFER, PEOPLE. I PRETENDED I WAS DRIVING CORN SOGA WHILE WAITING FOR A COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT TEAM TO FIX MY MICROPHONE. THIS IS PURE ELECTION INTERFERENCE!”

The caption to the Threads post said: “Okay, this is not a parody. That’s really what he’s going for.” We found other social networks posts share Trump supposed explanation.

We searched Trump’s Truth Social and X accounts for a post about the corn dog, but found nothing. Because it really was a parody.

This was the first published November 2 on X FBI Agent Self self-described parody account. In the original post, Trump had the word “satire” written in small print in the bottom left corner of Trump’s post.

But many social media users who shared Trump’s fake post shared an image with the satirical references cut out, leading some to believe be surprisedif Trump’s explanation were legitimate.

Even an “Agent Self” FBI post with a satirical tag caused readers to doubt him, leading to the account’s creation. write“This is SATIRE. The satire label is clearly visible,” one person responded.

In response to another user’s speculation as to whether Trump’s post was real, the account replied“This is wrong. I did that and added a ‘satire’ tag that someone cut out.”
