The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, the alum filed for divorce after 13 years of marriage on November 1, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their separation.

Although divorce papers were filed on November 1, just a day before she publicly announced the news on social media, Mellencamp, 43, set the date of their separation as October 20.

The reality TV star and mother of three asked for spousal support, but demanded that the court be stripped of its ability to award alimony to 47-year-old Arroyave. She also asked for primary legal and physical custody of their three children, Slate, 12, and Cruz. , 10 years, and Dove, 4 years, with “reasonable and frequent” visits from Arroyave and that he will be responsible for all attorney’s fees and costs.

According to the documents, the former couple’s assets and debts are “unknown at this time” and will be determined at a later date.

November 2, Mellencamp. announced that she and Arroyave are breaking up V Instagram post and emphasized the importance of their children leading the transition.

“After much thought and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce,” the reality star wrote in her statement. “My priority is my children and ensuring their privacy and well-being are taken into account as best they can throughout this new chapter.”

November 3, Arroyave shared a mysterious post about how he’s doing on his own Instagram. One screenshot of the app detailing his sleep schedule showed he slept for nine hours and 10 minutes with an “optimal” sleep rating.

“I recently talked about getting 3 hours of sleep a night,” he wrote in the caption. “Finally, I got some rest!”

He later shared another photo, this time of himself in a hot yoga studio.

“You won’t always be motivated or inspired. This is where rituals and habits come in,” he wrote.
