Pia Toscano Says David Foster and Katharine McPhee Could Sing at Her Wedding (Exclusive)

Pia Toscano She may be a singer, but she has other performers at her wedding.

Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE on David FosterYou’re the Inspiration: David Foster 75th Anniversary Party, produced by Live Nation-Hewitt Silva, at the Hollywood Bowl on Sunday, November 3rd, American Idol alum teased that Foster and his wife Katharine McPhee may sing at her wedding later this month.

“Well, I might have a very special performer performing at my ceremony,” Toscano, 36, hints to PEOPLE.

“Maybe it’s David and Kat, but I probably shouldn’t say anything,” she continues.

Toscano – participant of season 10 American Idol — says Foster is her “musical guardian angel,” so it makes sense that she would want him to be a part of her special day.

“I started listening to David’s music when I was just 4 years old,” says the bride-to-be. “The first song I sang was “I Will Always Love You.” And I wrote to Oprah (Winfrey) and him when he brought all these wonderful artists to the concert. Oprah show, and I sent my demos, but, of course, no one ever received them. So when I did American Idoland I was introduced to David, which was my biggest dream and he really changed my life.”

“He gave me a second chance at my career and I am so happy and honored that he allowed me to be a part of his birthday celebration with such an incredible lineup,” she adds.

Toscano who sang Celine Dion“The Power of Love” and “All By Myself” at the party got engaged Executive Vice President of On Stage Audio Carmen Educate in October 2023. She is now “very excited” to tie the knot.

She was previously married dancer Jimmy R.O. Smith. The former couple married in January 2017 but split three years later.

When asked how she has time to plan a wedding with her busy schedule, Toscano admits, “Well, we don’t.”

“We hope to have everything ready by November 24,” she says, before adding, “We just have the finishing touches.”

Toscano’s “small, very intimate” wedding will take place in Nashville at the Hermitage Hotel.

But almost immediately after the wedding, Toscano returns to work. In addition to writing and recording music for her new album, which will be released soon, the “Rhythm of the Water” singer is back on tour with Andrea Bocelli in December.

Thus, honeymoon plans will be postponed until 2025.

“We’re going to go to Europe in March because we love Europe. We love London,” Toscano told PEOPLE. “We’re just going to vacation all over Europe.”
