You Can Win ,000,000, But You’ll Have to Use Bing

Microsoft is doing everything it can to get people to use its Bing search engine. His latest attempt includes tote for people who might switch from Google to Microsoft’s Bing search engine. The jackpot prize is a whopping million dollars; ten additional winners will each receive $10,000.

To enter the competition, you will need to sign in to your Microsoft account or register if you don’t have one. On the next page you will be asked to provide additional information. Once you’ve redeemed your tickets, you can work on maximizing them by checking back weekly to see new, additional odds of winning. Limit of 200 possible entries per person.

You can try to maximize your chances of winning by sharing the lottery link with five friends and inviting them to click too. Microsoft has gamified the process such that a certain number of entries are associated with an action. For example, adding the Microsoft Rewards extension gets you five more entries, and setting up Windows Backup gets you ten more. In fulfilling its corporate social responsibility quota, Microsoft is also pledging to donate up to $500,000 to UNICEF and WWF (World Wildlife Fund) – $5 for each participant who receives more than 50 entries.

You can also track your entries. Log in to the Rewards page, select Redeem, then Order History and view the Status section. Bing explains that it will take 72 hours for the post to be published.

The catch is that the lottery is only open to residents of the US, Puerto Rico, Canada, UK, France and Germany. It ends on December 31, 2024, so you don’t have much time left if you’re willing to hit the search engines for a hefty prize.

This is what the company calls the “Ultimate Giveaway,” and it may not happen again on such a massive scale in the near future. However, Microsoft has relatively smaller reward programs that run throughout the year. Activities like browsing on Bing or shopping in the Microsoft Store can earn you points that you can redeem for gift cards or sweepstakes entries.

Offering such huge rewards, knowing that users can simply return to their chosen search engine after they enter their details, shows how much Microsoft wants to revive Bing. I very much doubt that such a trick will help him get back on his feet. Instead, the company should explore the possibility of creating its own search results are more accurateimproving your “cumbersome interface” and providing “quick and meaningful answers.
