GRAND RAPIDS, MI – The economy and inflation are among the issues driving millions of Michiganders to the polls, including some of the thousands awaiting former President Donald Trump’s final rally in Grand Rapids on Monday.

John Gortz, a carpenter from South Lyon waiting outside Van Andel Arena, said he is now making the most money in 10 years working in the skilled trades. But that money doesn’t stay in his bank account.
