One of my favorite things about X/Twitter Ever since Elon Musk took over the service in 2023, your For You feed has been home to hilarious and often brutal community posts. These notes are an attempt at crowdsourcing information that is often so good and so interesting that the notes themselves go a little viral. .

Say what you will about Elon, but the Community Notes aspect of X is a game-changer in many ways, as it makes the platform more of a real-time source of truth rather than a wild place where everything is done for free for everyone. And it’s a fact-checking system that covers almost everything, not just politics, as shown in the examples above.

According to X review Community Notes does not work according to majority rules. “To identify notes that will be useful to a wide range of people requires agreement among participants who have sometimes disagreed in their past assessments.
