‘The End’ trailer: Tilda Swinton and George MacKay sing about survival in Joshua Oppenheimer’s apocalyptic musical

Trailer for the anticipated film by Joshua Oppenheimer End was released, starring Tilda Swinton as a mother who spent decades protecting her family in a bunker after an environmental disaster, and George MacKay as her son, who never went outside. Michael Shannon plays the father and Moses Ingram portrays the mysterious stranger who disrupts their carefully controlled underground life.

Set twenty-five years after the world has become uninhabitable, the official synopsis follows a family trying to maintain hope and normalcy in their luxurious bunker. Their daily routine is disrupted by the arrival of Ingram’s character, who awakens the curiosity of McKay’s naive son and destroys the family’s fragile sense of unity.

Known for his documentary work in The act of murder And The look of silenceOppenheimer makes his narrative feature film debut Endco-wrote the script with Ramus Heisterberg. The film has already made waves at the Toronto and Telluride International Film Festivals and will be released in the US by Neon on December 6th.
