New York Jets Lose Prime Time as NFL Schedule Shakes Up

New York JetsA terrible start to the season cost them a prime time game as NFL announced that they had caved in JetsCollision with Indianapolis Colts from Sunday Night Football.

New Yorkwho was set to host this game against the Colts will now face them at 1:00 pm ET at MetLife Stadium on November 17th.

The NFL moved the game between Cincinnati Bengals And Los Angeles Chargers this Sunday evening as part of their flexible schedule.

Thanks to this step Jets (3-6) are set to play Eastern games at 1 p.m., starting with the Colts game for the remainder of the season.

This Sunday the game is with Arizona Cardinals set for 4:25 p.m. ET.

Since the Jets-Colts game was moved from Sunday, that means the network designation has also changed. The Jets-Colts game will move to CBS. That means five of the Jets’ next seven games will be on CBS.

The network name for the New York-Miami finale on Jan. 5 has not yet been determined.

The Jets will come out of action this weekend after an extended layoff with a 21-13 win over the Jets. Houston Texansthe game is now remembered more for receiver Garrett Wilson’s incredible one-handed catch than for the team’s five-game losing streak.

It’s been a tumultuous few weeks for the Jets as owner Woody Johnson fired head coach Robert Saleh after a 2-3 start and they named defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich as interim coach.

New York lost three games in a row, with Ulbrich leading the way. During this part of the losing streak, the Jets made a trade to bring in wide receiver Davante Adams and also got edge rusher Haason Reddick to end his holdout, but only after his original agents refused to represent him.

Both players contributed to the Jets’ victory over the Texans: Adams caught the final touchdown of the game and his first pass with the Jets, while Reddick pressured the quarterback several times and ended up with a half-sack, his first of the season.

The trade deadline is set for noon Tuesday, and it’s unclear whether the Jets will make any additional moves to try to bolster the roster for what could be a longshot attempt to end their 14-year playoff drought.

New York begins its training cycle ahead of the Cardinals’ game on Wednesday.
