This team has now survived almost everything. They recovered from Goff’s midgame collapse; they recovered from a season-altering injury; they’ve recovered from the crippling burden of hype, and now they’re recovering from having their second-best quarterback forced out of the game because the NFL likes to look like a good babysitter when parents are watching. They won in many ways. They know who they are from deeply personal experience and are not afraid to be that person. It’s very funny to see how this all happens.

There is no replacement for injured DE Aidan Hutchinson. But will the NFC leaders add someone, perhaps DE Za’Darius Smith, as a temporary patch before the deadline? However, that may not matter too much considering how well this multi-faceted offense performs. QB Jared Goff and WR Amon-Ra St. Brown haven’t had a miss since Week 3, racking up 30 consecutive targets, the longest streak of any punter since 2016.
