Watch Olympic gold medalist Eileen Gu make her SI swimsuit debut

Eileen Gu attracted public attention with her success as a freestyle skier. Most people will recognize her from her dominant performance at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, where she set records.

Gu became the first man to win three freestyle medals at the same Olympics, taking home gold in the big air and halfpipe events and silver in the slopestyle. She is also the youngest medalist in the sport.

These performances earned her two awards at the 2022 ESPYS: Best Breakthrough Athlete and Best Female Activist.

In a previous interview with CNNGu shared, “Athletics has enriched (her) life to such an extent, not only in terms of (her) physical well-being, but also (her) mental and my spiritual well-being.”

Gu was born and raised in San Francisco, California, but represents China at the Olympics. He is a pioneer. For all her athletic accomplishments, she may be even more successful on the slopes.

A student at Stanford University, she studies quantum physics. She is also a successful model, as she has some pretty impressive clients and shows on her resume.

Now she will add another prestigious modeling job to her extensive list; SI Swimsuit.

The Chinese-American athlete has been welcomed into the SI Swimsuit family and will debut in the 2025 edition as one of the athletes. On November 4, she flew to Boca Raton, Florida to begin filming with photographer Ben Horton.

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s Natalie Zamora shared a sneak peek of Gu’s photo shoot. She’s wearing a white Ava jumpsuit from Always on Holiday with sheer cutouts.
