Unsubstantiated claims of late-night infidelity spread in swing states

Unsubstantiated claims of overnight scams in battleground states began spreading Tuesday night after an early wave Donald Trump victories have cooled and ballots are still being counted.

Video of trucks arriving at a counting center in Pennsylvania by: MSNBC was included along with the unsubstantiated comment that Democrats would fraudulently overturn the key state of the battlefield for Kamala Harris.

In a post on X, earlier TwitterVideo showed more voting trucks arriving overnight as Trump led Pennsylvania with 92 percent of the votes counted. Without any evidence, social media users began calling the footage a fraud.

Newsweek contacted Pennsylvania Secretary of State media representatives via email for comment.

Elsewhere, comedian Roseanne Barr: reply to message on X It said: “PA officials told them to expect a ‘big drop’ in absentee ballots tonight,” Admissions Cheating wrote.

Barr later said with no basis for her statement: “Get your cameras ready. Record the deception.

“This time they won’t light us with gas. Follow the newsletters. Don’t go to bed. Shoot. Write it down.

“We failed last time when we got caught in a crazy scam in the middle of the night. Not this time.

“This time, ‘No evidence’ will not be repeated.”

Actor Kevin Sorbo, a staunch Trump supporter, added to a comment on X: “CBS News reports say Pennsylvania and Arizona will have until Thursday to tally their data.

“Hell no. Call. No cheating this time.”

Conservative commentator End Wokeness, whose comments about election fraud Newsweek previously debunkedincluded footage of MSNBC in a post viewed 2.5 million times and wrote: “Trucks full of ballots pull into Philadelphia at 12 a.m. There’s nothing to see here, guys.”

User Sarah Rose, responding to End Wokeness: wrote: “Philadelphia and Detroit are cheating. They’re going to do everything they can to rig the election.”

Donald Trump pre-empted allegations of fraud in Pennsylvania without any evidence even before the results started coming in, writing on Truth Social on November 5: “Lots of talk about massive DECEPTION in Philadelphia. Law enforcement will come!!!”

Trump’s claims were rejected by Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner, who said there was “no factual basis in law enforcement to support this wild allegation.”

“We have been receiving complaints and allegations of violations all day long,” Krasner added.

“If Donald Trump has any facts to back up his wild accusations, we want them now. Right now. We’re not holding our breath.”

CNN confirmed that the Philadelphia Police Department was “unaware” of what Trump was talking about and was not aware of any voting issues that would require a law enforcement response.

The legacy of Trump’s false claim that the 2020 election was stolen from him appears to have prompted his supporters to scrutinize the 2024 election without much motivation beyond suspicion.

Voters were encouraged to videotape and report the vote count online. Conservative Influencer Steven Crowder Further fueling the sense of suspicion about vote counting in Pennsylvania on election night was the release of video that appeared to show trucks carrying ballots arriving to be counted.

Crowder, in the message on X viewed 1.7 million times, written: ” PENNSYLVANIA ALERT

“OUR NATION’S DESTINY IS IN A MYSTERIOUS CONVOY OF CARS!

“NEW EMPLOYEES ARE COMING TO COUNT THE VOTES.

“We are monitoring this closely.

“Stay tuned”.

Tuesday morning several ballot scanners were not working at several polling places in Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania Department of State said it has contacted Cambria County officials to resolve the technical issues.
