NASA awards contract for waste removal and recycling services

NASA has awarded a storage and disposal/recycling services contract to Ahtna Integrated Services LLC of Anchorage, Alaska, to provide trash, waste and recycling services at the agency’s Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley in California.

This is a hybrid contract that includes a firm fixed price and an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity portion. The enforcement period begins on Friday, November 1, with a 60-day phase-in period, followed by a one-year base period and an extension option until November 2029. The maximum potential value of this contract is approximately US$24 million. .

Under this contract, the company will perform basic routine storage, waste removal and recycling services at NASA Ames. The company will focus on health and safety, environmental compliance, sanitation and customer service.
