Folded Pokemon TCG Pocket decks became the subject of some serious internet rumors last week, as the belief that opening certain decks of cards with folded or dog-eared corners and tops results in rarer or more valuable cards spread like wildfire – but is it true? ? ? Do folded decks give rare cards or better odds? Of course, there seems to be something to it since the rarity of the bent backpacks makes it seem like they must be valuable, but we checked it out to see if there is something to this rumor.

What are the Pokemon TCG Pocket Curved Sets for?

Curved decks in Pokemon TCG Pocket – that is, those rare decks of cards that have a slight crease or bend in the corner of the foil at the top of the deck – do not give better rewards or rarer cards than regular packs, despite the fact that some people consider them “heavy”.

Now we cannot 100% guarantee that without delving into the game code and without talking to the developers personally, but having substantially tested it in the game, it seems that the cards you draw are imprinted the moment you select “Open Deck”, regardless of which of the available decks you choose, folded or not.

There are several reasons to think this is the case:
