A Tennessee couple is suing a jeweler who they say failed to compensate them for an engagement ring they lost after it was stolen.

Bride-to-be Chelsea King shared viral video Tik Tok video that she and her fiancé, identified by WSMV as Dawson, Blanchship planned to combine the family’s fourth-generation engagement ring and her $10,000 tanzanite crystal into an engagement ring, but was left empty-handed.

She said she and her Blanchip sent the ring to Nashville-based King Jewelers to get it ready for the engagement, and they paid $1,100 for the service. However, they told KTVZ-TV What they didn’t know was that the jewelers then shipped the ring to an outside cutter in Florida. On the way back to the jeweler in Tennessee, it was allegedly stolen.

“They had this happen when FedEx lost a package,” King noted on TikTok.

Blanchship alleged, according to KTVZ-TV and the complaint reviewed by PEOPLE, that King Jewelers did not insure the pieces while they were in the care of the cutter and subsequently transported back to the jeweler, despite the company allegedly informing them that they “Insure all items up to $100,000.” He also claimed that King Jewelers refused to compensate them for their losses, although the owner of the company offered to replace the ring, according to the store.

King said she, Blanchip and Jewelers have failed to fix the problem since it happened, and they have since filed a lawsuit seeking $75,000 in damages against King Jewelers for the incident, KTVZ-TV reported and confirmed in a PEOPLE complaint. .
