HGTV’s Jasmine Roth reveals the baby’s name

HGTV star Jasmine Roth’s 4-year-old daughter, Hazel, is building her own fan base.

In an Instagram video that has gone viral, Hazel arrives at the hospital excited to meet her little sister for the first time. The audience is waiting for a touching moment, but Hazel has her own ideas.

“I want to know her name!” Hazel exclaims.

“So we’re going to tell you the name, and then you’ll tell it to the rest of the family once you remember it,” says Roth, 40. -Are you ready?

Hazel is ready.

“Her name is Darla Rose Roth,” Roth says with a big smile on her face. Hazel repeats the name. The preschooler seems to have it all figured out, but there’s just one problem: She’s not a fan of her parents’ choices, and she’s about to make it known.

“I’ll call her Melody,” Hazel announces as Mouth bursts into laughter.

“Melody>Darla,” one person wrote in the comments.

He also added: “I vote for Melody Rose Roth.”

The “Help I Broke My Home” host and her husband Brett Roth kept Darla’s name a secret from friends and family.

“We never tell anyone in advance because if we can decide on a name, we don’t want to risk someone ruining it for us,” Jasmine explained on Instagram.

“None of us had ever known “Darla,” so that was a good start! Let’s be honest: calling people is HARD!” she added.

The name Darla is a name of English origin meaning “darling”. Numberberry. Darla has not appeared on the Social Security Administration’s top 1,000 baby names since 1985.

The Roths welcomed their second child on September 7th. Darla was born a month early and spent 15 days in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). In an essay for PeopleJasmine raved that Darla “immediately filled a corner of my heart that I didn’t even know was empty.”
