Valuable items can be sold in Dragon Age: The Veilguard without any worries. They exist for no other purpose and will not be tied to quests or missions in any way. Gifts you can purchase for companions also don’t end up in the valuable part of your inventory, and you can’t accidentally sell a weapon or piece of armor while getting rid of your valuables.

The really important question you need to ask yourself is: who are you going to sell them to? Selling valuables will earn you gold, but more importantly, they will help you strengthen your reputation and increase the strength of your faction. Each valuable you sell to them will earn you a few power points, so if you’re falling behind any faction, you can give yourself a nice boost by selling them a bunch of valuables.

You can find each faction’s store near the main fast travel portals in the following locations. Without going into major spoilers, it is an advantage to have a max power level with each faction before entering the final part of the game.

  • Jumpers with veil – Arlathan Forest
  • Shadow Dragons – Dock Town
  • Antivan Crows – Treviso
  • Gray Wardens – Hossberg Swamps
  • Lord of Fortune – Hall of Valor
  • Sorrow Watch – Necropolis Halls

Visit the above-mentioned vendors and sell them all the valuables you have, ensuring that you help earn the necessary faction power. The price of gold gained from all items is static no matter who you sell them to, so no monetary reward is lost for focusing on faction strength.
