PSG 1-2 Atletico Madrid: Angel Correa scores the winner with the last kick of the game as the La Liga club stuns the Parisians

Angel Correa stunned Paris Saint-Germain with a stoppage-time strike to snatch a dramatic 2-1 victory for Atletico Madrid.

A tasty UEFA Champions League tie appeared to have reached a stalemate at the Parc des Princes, where Nahuel Molina canceled out Warren Zaire-Emery’s earlier effort.

However, there was a turnaround in the 93rd minute when substitute Correa capped off a devastating counter-attack with a neat strike to break PSG hearts.

The hosts started with purpose, with Achraf Hakimi firing wide in the first 60 seconds before firing home in the 14th minute.

Atlético were punished for sluggish defending as Ousmane Dembele intercepted the ball and fed Zaire-Emery, who neatly beat the stranded Jan Oblak.

However, the visitors responded well and equalized just four minutes later. PSG were unable to cope with a cross from the right: the defender’s header went straight to Molina, who coolly converted the goal.

Luis Enrique’s team had more chances to score the third goal of the match after the break. Hakimi and Bradley Barcola challenged Oblak into action, with Marquinhos heading straight at the Atlético goalkeeper.

But as the hosts pressed for a winner, they were open at the back and their opponents took advantage when Antoine Griezmann’s cross-field pass found Correa, who slotted inside before Gianluigi Donnarumma could only help with his shot into the net.
