Polls have closed in Kansas.

Along with the Harris-Trump presidential race, you can see results from races of interest to residents of the Wichita and Sedgwick County areas. You’ll also find results for specific races in the Kansas Legislature, House and Senate, as well as the 4th Congressional District between Ron Estes and Esau Freeman and the State Board of Education.

US House, District 4

Kansas 4th congressional district includes Wichita, Newton, Pratt and areas south of the Oklahoma border.

Republican incumbent Ron Estes is running for re-election, while Esau Freeman is running as a Democrat. Both were unopposed in the primaries.

U.S. Representatives are elected to two-year terms.

Kansas House Results:

State representatives are legislators responsible for drafting and voting on bills. They also help create government budgets and create legislation that helps regulate government agencies. The Kansas House has 125 state representatives, each serving a two-year term.

Kansas State Senate results:

Residents of south-central Kansas will be eligible to vote in House Districts 14, 16, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32 and 34. Kansas State Senators serve four-year terms.

Kansas Board of Education

The State Board of Education consists of 10 members elected to four-year terms. The council oversees public schools and represents the educational interests of the state. The Wichita area is served by state board of education members from Districts 8 and 10.

Sedgwick County Commission

Jeff Bluebaugh is challenging Sarah Lopez for her seat in District 2, which represents southwestern Sedgwick County, including parts of Wichita. Stephanie Wise and Celeste Racette are vying for the vacant District 3 seat, which includes western Wichita and western Sedgwick County.

Commissioner David Dennis has decided not to seek re-election.
