A 62-year-old married carer was found dead outside a country house in Oswestry after being missing for almost three months.

Anthony Roberts, 62, was last seen in Chirk July 5th this year. His body was found near Holston Hall in Whittington. Oswestry September 25 this year.

Mr Roberts, a married man who provided care, has been the target of a number of public harassments. police appeals after his disappearance.

An inquest into his death at Shropshire Coroner’s Court in Shrewsbury on Wednesday was told that Mr Roberts, who lived in Princess Avenue, Chirk, was pronounced dead at the scene after his body was discovered. Police identified him after finding a driver’s license and other documents on him.

John Ellery, senior coroner for Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, adjourned the inquest until February 6 next year.
