SafeHomes forced to cancel annual fundraiser due to Hurricane Helen

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – SafeHomes says it cannot hold its largest annual fundraiser, Fake It to Make It, due to the impact of Hurricane Helen.

The nonprofit provides shelter, legal advocacy, counseling, support groups and job training to victims of domestic violence.

The State Superintendent Advisory Councils include 2 DC students and a teacher.

SafeHomes says that instead of a regular fundraiser, they will be giving away tickets to the Night One of the Kicks 99 Guitar Pull.

Every $50 donation will be entered into a drawing. The drawing will take place on Monday at noon on Facebook Live.
