Vietnamese military plane crashes, two pilots rescued after 10 hours

Two pilots are safe after ejecting from a military plane before it crashed. VietnamCentral Highlands on Wednesday. The pilots were on a training flight when they experienced landing gear problems, forcing them to parachute to safety.
The Russian-made Yak-130 aircraft crashed in a dense forest area in the Iapa region of Gia Lai province. The pilots used their cell phones to contact authorities and report their locations. They were found about 10 hours after the crash.
Work to recover the wreckage continues, but heavy rain and strong winds are causing delays.
Pham Truong Son, Deputy Chief of the General Staff Vietnam People’s Armystated: “Removing a five-ton plane from the forest requires special equipment and careful planning, so it will take some time.”
