Prince William, who is nearing the end of his tour of South Africa, is preparing for a final visit to the country before flying back to the UK.

The Prince of Wales visited the National Sea Rescue Institute on Thursday to meet volunteers at Simon’s Town Harbor in Cape Town.

William was photographed on board the NSRI lifeboat Donna Nicholas as he headed to meet the crew.

On the official social media accounts of the Prince and Princess of Wales, the station team shared news from the venue.

“We are the Station 10 crew from Simon’s Town,” a station employee said into the camera. “And Prince William is here today to talk to us about what we do here day in and day out.”

William received a warm welcome at Kalk Bay Harbor from hundreds of locals as a special guest at the Cape Town braai, or barbecue as it is known.

The visit highlighted the contributions of 2023 Earthshot Prize finalist Abalobi, which was founded in South Africa to protect small-scale fishing communities and promote ocean stewardship, while educating its customers about the origins of their seafood.

Prince William is expected to fly home on Thursday after quickly completing remaining business in South Africa.
