BRCC will host Veterans Day program on Thursday to honor military members

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) – BRCC invites the community to honor military veterans through its annual Veterans Day program on Thursday, November 7th.

It takes place from 11 a.m. to noon at the Magnolia Theater on the BRCC Mid City campus. Address: 201 Municipal College Drive.

The event will pay tribute to the courage, dedication and sacrifice of all who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

This year’s keynote speaker will be retired Lt. Col. David Marshall, Jr., who had a distinguished military career that included deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan and Egypt. Lieutenant Colonel Marshall has served in a variety of leadership positions around the world and offers a unique perspective on the impact of military service and sustainability. His many awards include the Bronze Star, Purple Heart and Meritorious Service Medals. In addition to his military accomplishments, Lt. Col. Marshall holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Science from Southern University and A&M College and a Master of Arts degree in Acquisition and Procurement Management from Webster University.
