After Trump’s victory, Project 2025 becomes relevant again

Throughout the 2024 campaign, Donald Trump recognized that Project 2025’s agenda was so radical and unpopular that he treated it as if it were radioactive. “I don’t know anything about Project 2025. I have no idea who’s behind it,” Republican said in the summer about the project mostly written by members of his own team. He added: “I have nothing to do with them.”

Just two weeks ago, Trump went so far as to… The question is whether it was even legal to have people broadcast campaign ads linking him to Project 2025. This happened right after online subject in which he said, referring to the right-wing agenda: “I had nothing to do with it, NEVER READ IT, NEVER SEEN IT.”

The 2024 election has apparently come and gone, and while time will tell to what extent the new Trump administration pursues the radical plan, Project 2025 is already back in the spotlight.

Just hours after Trump was declared the winner, conservative commentator Matt Walsh published an item on social media, where it was written: “Now that the election is over, I think we can finally say that yes, in fact, Project 2025 is the agenda. I can’t laugh.”

Perhaps he was joking, or perhaps he was just trying to gain support from the left, but Steve Bannon, recently released from prison, made time for his post-election show. to highlight Walsh’s message and describe it as “amazing.”

Report The New Republic added: “Later during the live broadcast, Bannon could be seen holding a printed copy of the Heritage Foundation’s 2025 Mandate to Lead project.” to the camera at the holiday.”

Rolling Stone highlighted Some related examples: “Right-wing podcast Benny Johnson also gloated about the project. “I am honored to tell you all that Project 2025 was real all along,” he wrote. In a separate post, Tarrant County GOP Chairman Beau French wrote, “So can we now admit that we are going to implement Project 2025?”

Of course, I know trolling when I see it. These guys are more likely to stab opponents than to rip off the mask of a sinister plan.

But I also think it’s worth keeping these comments in mind because we almost certainly haven’t heard the last of Project 2025.
