Pedestrian hit by vehicle near TJC campus in Tyler

TYLER, Texas (KLTV) – Authorities responded to a pedestrian accident reported near the main campus of Tyler Junior College Thursday morning.

A child of “elementary school age” was struck by a vehicle at 5th and Clayton streets near TJC around 7:30 a.m. Thursday, according to the Tyler Police Department. EMS determined the victim did not suffer serious injuries and is expected to be OK. The driver reportedly stopped and remained at the scene.

The cause of the incident remains unclear.
