Trends of the Korean feminist movement “4B” in the United States after Trump’s victory

Many of Vice President Kamala Harris’ supporters called her loss Tuesday a loss for women. This sparked debate around the 4B movement, in which South Korean women denied dates, sex, marriage and children to men. The letter “B” refers to the Korean prefix “no”.

“Now is a good time to start the 4B movement. let male loneliness really become an epidemic if they hate women so much,” wrote one user on X.

“Ladies, we need to start embracing the 4B movement like the women in South Korea and give America a drastic reduction in the birth rate,” wrote another. “…We can’t let these people have the last laugh…we need to fight back.”

Another user shared a TikTok post on this topic, which was one of many. The caption for the video reads: “Movement 4B must act. want the world to listen…start reducing their population and economy. there is no country to flee to if the birth rate starts to decline. don’t give up until they start listening. then they will start to panic.”

However, others derided the move because many women voted for Harris’ opponent, President-elect Donald Trump, and likely won’t follow the campaign closely enough for it to have an effect. There was only 11 point gap between female Harris voters and female Trump voters this cycle.

“Who knew we could end abortion when unstable, angry women pledged to join the 4B movement and stop having sex?” Students for Life was written by President Kirstan Hawkins.

“I will never understand how liberal women are so traumatized that they started the 4B movement when women in Afghanistan literally have less rights than a dog,” wrote Republican Party spokeswoman Macy Gunnell.
