Lennox Lewis warns Jake Paul could have ‘trouble’ against heavyweight legend Mike Tyson

Lennox Lewis warned Jake Paul will be “in trouble” if Mike Tyson unleashes his power in the ring next week.

YouTube star Paul has gone 10-1 as a professional boxer in recent years and his next challenge comes against Tyson, one of the greatest heavyweight champions in the history of the sport, in an officially sanctioned bout.

Paul, 27, and Tyson were supposed to fight each other in July, but The 58-year-old man refused after he suffered a health scare in May. Iron Mike’s ulcer worsened during the flight, and the fight was rescheduled for November 15.

British former world heavyweight champion Lewis is one of the few fighters to defeat Tyson. when they met in 2002 in the winter of his career.

Although he recognized that Tyson’s age could be a factor, Lewis predicted that Paul would face some punishment if he took a powerful blow from one of boxing’s greats.

“It’s hard to box when you’re that old, moving around the ring, throwing punches, getting punched, but I think he can handle it,” Lewis told Sky Sports.

“I thought Jake Paul would have problems because Mike Tyson knows how to throw great body shots and great head shots. We’ll just have to see if he’s going to do it in the ring – I hope he does.

“(I expect to see) Mike Tyson tearing away from the ring and throwing punches to the body and head when he can catch Jake Paul. I’m sure Jake Paul will move quickly, move around the ring. He won’t want to stand there and get hit by Mike Tyson!

“I’ll be there and it will be exciting.”

While the battle is approaching, Netflix released a documentary surrounding the controversial competition, which the streaming platform will broadcast live next week.

“When I got the news that he was out and couldn’t fight, I just went numb,” Paul said in the documentary.

“I just thought, ‘Damn…’ I’m one of those people who likes a schedule and likes to know what I’m doing. It just ended it all. There was nothing I could do, it was out of my control.

“Nobody can tell Mike Tyson what to do, and if he wants to fight me, of course I will say yes.” This is a unique opportunity to fight one of the two most famous boxers who ever lived – Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson.

“I look at Mike Tyson as a killer, so I never expected something like this.”
