Former city employee pleads guilty to grand theft

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A former City of Rochester employee has pleaded guilty to grand theft charges.

Investigators say Anthony Hall was a volunteer for the Coalition of Northeast Associations (CONEA), a nonprofit organization focused on issues such as crime, housing and youth development. They say he used a CONEA-owned debit card to transfer money to his own cash app, without the organization’s knowledge, for nearly a year.

Hall will be sentenced to a year and a half in prison and will have to pay more than $33,000.
