An application to build a dog walking and training area near Peterborough has been approved.

An application to build a dog walking and training area near Peterborough has been approved.

The objection put forward by a member of the public said the entrance to the field was along a designated riding path so “it would impact riding in the area – there are also local badgers which are believed to have a settlement located in the field.”

The applicant said that “the potential user cannot arrive intentionally and that dog walking sessions are pre-booked at slots that are determined in terms of arrival, start time and duration.”

“This will be useful for controlling access to the site and, if necessary, times will be staggered to prevent too many users arriving or leaving at the same time.”

The plan was approved by council this week.
