A fire broke out at the Atinka FM/TV station; many people are trapped, several are hospitalized

The office of Atinka FM/TV, a media center in the capital Accra, was reported to have caught fire on Friday, November 11, 2024.

A video posted on the official website of the Ghana National Fire Service shows personnel inside the media center building.

The man who shot the video said that firefighters from the Krug branch and the fire service headquarters were fighting the fire.

He noted that several people have already been rescued from the office of the media house.

“At the moment, several people have been saved. We suspect there may still be other people trapped in the studio.

“So efforts are still being made to save them. Law enforcement officers are preparing for action,” the man said.

He added that the situation is very unstable.

The video also showed the inside of some of the building’s offices, which appeared to be completely burned.

Information obtained by GhanaWeb indicates that at least three people were hospitalized following the rescue.
