“Restoring supply continues in collaboration with our key stakeholders. Please support us.”

“Dear valued customer, we would like to inform you that on November 5, 2024 at 1:52 p.m., there was a system failure that resulted in a loss of power to our network.

“We are currently working with our partners and hope to restore the network as soon as possible. We will keep you updated as soon as power is restored.”

TCN talks about the latest crash

Meanwhile, the Transport Company of Nigeria (TCN) has clarified that the national grid collapse that occurred on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 was a partial power outage and not a complete blackout.

In a statement on Tuesday, Ndidi Mbah, general manager of public affairs at TCN, explained that the incident was caused by multiple outages of lines and generators.

Mbah said:

“The failure did not affect the entire network, saving certain areas from loss of electricity.

“TCN engineers are actively working to restore main power supply to the affected areas, with power already restored to Abuja by 2:49 pm.”

NERC has warned Nigerians using prepaid meters
