Three escaped, animals rescued from fire

PARK TOWNSHIP, MI – A fire ripped through the Holiday West Mobile Home in Park Township early Friday morning.

While the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office told FOX 17 no one living there was injured, some rescue work had to be done.

Firefighters and a neighbor helped the family dog ​​escape through a window—their cat? Like all cats, they dealt with it on their own.

The dog was given oxygen at the scene and the Red Cross was called to help everyone get a roof over their heads while the damage was assessed.

When the rescuers left, both animals were fine.

The cause has not been determined and the fire remains under investigation.
