One of the best sci-fi shows on television returns with a perfect 100% critical score.

One of the best sci-fi shows on television returns with a perfect 100% critical score.

This article was published on November 7th and republished on November 8th.

Apple TV+ may have a small market share in the streaming space, but it has the highest average of good shows relative to the total number of shows on any platform today. One of them is The Bunker, which returns for its second season on November 15th and the first reviews are already in. So far they are perfect.

A second season of The Bunker is currently in development. 100% perfect on Rotten Tomatoesalthough there aren’t many critics, it seems to be a sign of things to come. This is up from 88% in the first season, and the overall rating for the series is 94%. He has a 66% audience because people are crazy. Sorry, but this is just a great series.

The show is an adaptation of the Wool novel series, with a concept reminiscent of life in a post-apocalyptic Fallout vault. Here’s the official synopsis:

“In a destroyed and toxic future, a community exists in a giant underground bunker, plunging hundreds of stories; there people live in a society full of rules that they think are meant to protect them.”

The series’ protagonist is the enigmatic Rebecca Fergusson, who seems to be everywhere these days, from Mission: Impossible to Dune to the upcoming Peaky Blinders film. But this is actually her main project. Season 3 has already been greenlit, and is actually currently being filmed as Apple TV+ tries to shorten the time between seasons, something they’ve done cleverly with some of their other shows like Slow Horses (but not famously given the gaping gap between the first season and 2 Severance).

Here’s what some critics are saying about the new season:

  • Empire “While this season’s final puzzle often raises more questions than answers, it remains a compelling series that keeps you wondering if there’s any truth to the lies.”
  • Total movie “A consistently impressive performance from Rebecca Ferguson, who goes it alone and supports the stars busy at home, makes Silo a grim future worth sticking around for.”
  • Collider “By grounding its Orwellian elements in intense yet understandable human struggles through razor-sharp writing, Power continues to transcend the genre by challenging audiences to question not only the motives of those in power, but also the strength of their beliefs.”

I’m writing this now, a week early, so that you have time to watch the first season of The Bunker before the second comes out, which should be enough time. The series is great, one of my favorites on TV, but in terms of current sci-fi shows? I think you could argue that this is one of the better arguments. The second season of Silo will be released on November 15th.

Update (November 8): Iif you have Already watched Silo, which means you’re probably subscribed to Apple TV+. And I would venture to suggest that perhaps you have not seen all the services. another great sci-fi shows, really no one does it like them. Here’s what I would recommend:

For all mankind – An alternate history in which the Russians were the first to land on the moon, effectively accelerating the space race to new heights for decades. Luckily, Apple continues to offer this season after season.

Foundation – An incredibly popular sci-fi series based (loosely) on the famous books that looks like the most expensive show on television, but costs a third as much as you’d imagine. The second season is better than the third, but both are good.

Dark Matter – A show about hopping between dimensions, adapted by the author of the book itself, it is extremely trippy and has just been renewed for a second season.

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters – Another show that was renewed for a second season, arguably the best Godzilla content minus Minus One, and Best Actress in a Drama winner Anna Sawai before she was in Shogun.

Severance pay – One of Apple’s most high-profile series, which I believe is science fiction in the same sense that Black Mirror is science fiction. No aliens or apocalypses, but plenty of weirdness, and a second season will be released… at some point here.
