The baby was rescued a day after the abduction

A two-year-old girl, who was allegedly kidnapped by a woman on Thursday, was rescued by the Vayalikawala police on Friday. According to police, the baby disappeared when she was playing near the house, and her parents were busy preparing their second child for school.

When checking CCTV footage, it turned out that the child was taken by a woman. Police said the child was tracked down at Devaiah Park and the woman, identified as Sujatha, was mentally challenged. She gave the girl a chocolate bar and did not harm her. The police have detained the woman and will send her to a psychiatric hospital.
