Tennessee Titans DT Among Top Free Agents

Even though the Tennessee Titans didn’t move on from cornerback Sebastian Joseph-Day before this week’s trade deadline, there’s a good chance he’ll be looking for a new home through free agency at the end of the season.

Joseph-Day, 29, had 21 tackles and 2.5 sacks in the eight games he played for the team. Titans This is his first season with the team so far. However, given the direction the Titans are going, there is a good chance he could also be playing his final season with the team.

Bleacher Report writer Christopher Knox listed the top 50 free agents for the upcoming offseason, with Joseph-Day ranked 37th on the list.

“Defensive tackles have become a hot commodity in the NFL, and the 2023 free agent market reflects that. Christian Wilkins received a huge four-year, $110 million contract from the Raiders. Knox writes. “Tennessee Titans cornerback Sebastian Joseph-Day is not Wilkins and he won’t get paid that kind of money. However, the 29-year-old is a tremendous player who can absorb ball carriers, pressure quarterbacks and bring positional versatility. Due to the lack of interior defenders, he must find a reliable market when he becomes a free agent.”

Defensive tackles like Joseph-Day won’t be easy to find on the open market, so he could be in line for a promotion come the 2025 season.

Titans I’d like to keep Joseph-Day, especially if he plays like he has this season. However, the Titans may not be as attractive a free agent prospect given the team’s current path to contention. Joseph-Day may have to look for other options when he is able to sign with another team later in the spring.

Joseph-Day and Titans returned to the field in Week 10 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
