(Nationwide) Moika expands the search area for missing people on Venus

The search area was expanded: 12 people disappeared as a result of the flooding of the Jeju Venus.

The Jeju Coast Guard said it expanded the search area from 6 a.m. today and deployed more than 400 personnel, including 50 ships and fishing boats, nine aircraft, soldiers and police, to search for the missing people.

No additional missing persons were found during the previous overnight search.

The Venus, carrying 27 sailors, sank at 4:30 am yesterday (8th) while carrying catch in waters 24 kilometers northwest of Biyangdo Island in Jeju, leaving two of the 15 rescued dead and 12 went missing.
