AHL Senators sign defenseman Malcolm Subban

Journeyman goalkeeper Malcolm Subban signed a one-year, one-way American Hockey League contract with the Belleville Senators, AHL affiliate. Ottawa Senators.

The 30-year-old Toronto native appeared in one game with the team Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2023-24 season and 35 AHL games split between the Springfield Thunderbirds and Cleveland Monsters.

Subban was selected Boston Bruins He was selected 24th overall in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. Since then, he has appeared in 87 games at the NHL level, posting a career record of 36-34-9, a 3.10 goals-against average and an .898 save percentage during his tenure with the Bruins. Vegas Golden Knights, Chicago Blackhawks, Buffalo Sabers and Blue Jackets.

In the AHL, Subban has a career record of 89-78-32, a 2.65 goals-against average and a .911 save percentage.

During his major junior hockey career, Subban spent four seasons in Belleville with the Ontario Hockey League’s Bulls.
