Daredevil: Born Again will reportedly top 2025 for Marvel on Disney Plus, as six more MCU series could debut.

2025 could be a record year for Marvelthe company’s television division, the comic book giant is reportedly set to release up to Seven new shows on Disney Plus.

Despite previous claims that Marvel Studios would be releasing less content each year, it looks like Marvel Studios is gearing up to release a new series roughly every seven weeks (if my math is correct) starting next January.

Indeed, according to the file names on some of the new logo images uploaded to Disney’s press image library yesterday (October 28) – as spotted by the X/Twitter account Comicodji and users on Reddit – 2025 looks like it will be a very busy year for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) on the small screen.

Until recently, we knew that three new Marvel shows would debut on Disney’s main streaming service. The first one, Daredevil: Born Againscheduled to arrive March 4, 2025. DaredevilThe standalone MCU series will be joined by two more projects later in 2025. Iron Heart And What if…? The third season is also confirmed to release on undisclosed dates.

Now it looks like the trio will be joined by four more series, three of which will be animated. Your Friendly Neighbor Spider-Mananimated Spider-Man TV show that won’t happen canon in the MCU is rumored to be the first of these releases, with the show set to release on Disney Plus on January 29, 2025. Eyes of Wakandafour-part Black Panther The animated anthology miniseries is expected to debut on August 6, 2025.

If release dates don’t change, it’s going to be an incredibly busy year for Marvel as a whole. The comic titan is also preparing to release two final versions. Marvel Phase 5 movies – Captain America: Brave New World And Thunderbolts – in February and May 2025, respectively. They will be joined Fantastic Four: First Steps in July, kicking off the final phase of the Marvel Multiverse saga.

If Marvel releases all of the above films and TV series next year, fans will have at least 10 of them. new films and TV series that can be watched in just 12 months. With some industry experts and MCU fans suggesting that the superhero market has already reached saturation point, this is a lot of content for die-hard and casual viewers to consume.

Certainly, Daredevil: Born Again Additionally, Marvel has yet to officially reveal its 2025 release schedule. As such, it’s entirely possible that the Disney subsidiary will change one or more of its TV show launch dates to spread them out, or even push them back entirely from next year.

Regardless, I’m not sure Marvel will release seven new series in 2025. As I mentioned, the company wants to limit the number of projects released each year, so releasing seven new series in a 12-month period would be very beneficial. many things contradict this plan. With numerous other Disney Plus projects, including new ones Star wars shows how Andor Season 2set to debut next year, Disney won’t want its biggest franchises cannibalizing each other’s viewing figures as they compete for audience attention.

However, the fact that the MCU could get 10 new productions next year is a byproduct of Marvel’s haphazard creative approach in recent years. Instead of focusing on telling a coherent, multiverse-focused story in Phases 4, 5, and 6, the studio’s desire to create projects with little to no overarching plan led to audience apathy and damaged its reputation.

Yes, there were extenuating circumstances: strikes in Hollywood in 2023 and a worldwide pandemic that affected the development of many productions. However, the disorganized nature of Marvel’s Multiverse Saga plan is now making itself known again. If Marvel moves forward with its apparent goal of releasing seven new shows in 2025, I fear that audiences could be overwhelmed by the number of options on offer or lose interest—if they haven’t already—in the MCU forever.
