Nasdaq is trading near all-time highs – Carswellfamilyfoundation

The Nasdaq Composite Index is trading near all-time highs and is approaching its first record close in more than three months.

The index opened at 18,636.60 on Tuesday, about 0.1% below its record closing level of 18,647.45. The Nasdaq closed at this level on July 10, but has not reached a new record since then.

Last week, on October 25, the index hit an intraday high of 18,690.01, but later gave up that gain.

A new record close could end the Nasdaq’s dry spell. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average have posted multiple record closes over the past three months.
