The rock band will reunite 20 years after the breakup: Million Dead Plot 2025 concerts

Two decades after their last concert in 2005, Million Dead are hitting the road again. All five members of the London post-hardcore band – Cameron Dean, Julia Ruzicka, Ben Dawson, Tom Fowler and Frank Turner – are set to reunite for a series of concerts, 20 years after their split. Turner confirmed this on social media..

“In September 2005, Million Dead split up after their last show in Southampton. In March 2024, we all met for beers and realized we couldn’t remember why we broke up,” Turner said. “So in 2025, to celebrate our 20th anniversary, all five members are going to get back together to play some shows. We are very excited, we hope you are too. See you next year.”

Million Dead was founded by Dean and Ruzicka in 2000, with Dawson and Turner completing the group. After Dean left the band in 2004 and was replaced by Fowler, and after the release of their second album, Harmony No HarmonyA million dead announced in 2005 that they split up due to “irreconcilable differences within the group.”

“Million Dead is breaking up. After four years and two albums, we mutually agreed that this was the best thing to do,” the band said at the time. “Irreconcilable differences within the group mean that a continuation is impossible, and in any case we would prefer to leave a beautiful corpse. Our reasons are personal and compelling.”

At the time, the band also hinted at a possible reunion in the future, adding, “At some point in the future, you’ll no doubt hear from some or all of us again.” However, while many band members continued to pursue solo careers (Turner released 10 solo albums), Million Dead remained largely silent until new Instagram account for the group released earlier in October. The account posted several cryptic posts, sparking reunion rumors before Turner confirmed the news on October 23.

At this time, details of upcoming performances have not been disclosed. Million Dead have announced that they will perform at the 2000trees music festival at Withington, near Cheltenham in Gloucestershire, in July 2025. No further concerts have been announced.

The reunion news, which also comes just a month after Turner’s wife, Jessica Giese, announced that their marriage was “over” caused many enthusiastic reactions from fans. Commenting on Turner’s announcement, one person wrote: “Brilliant! Harmony No Harmony still regularly tops my driving CD playlist.” Someone said: “This is bigger than Oasis.” A third fan commented: “Never thought we would see this day. Everyone get their claws ready.
