City of Wichita warns of poor air quality

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – The city of Wichita issued a poor air quality warning Tuesday.

The air quality index currently stands at 154, which is considered unsafe for people with heart and lung disease, the elderly, children and teenagers.

The city encourages residents to take the following precautions to minimize exposure:

Avoid strenuous outdoor activities.
Keep outdoor activities short.
Consider bringing physical activity indoors or moving it.
