Griffin said Biden’s recent comments are harmful to Kamala Harris’ campaign and that Harris should “unequivocally distance herself” from him.

“This comment is the opposite of what Kamala Harris is trying to achieve – uniting Americans. The campaign (should) definitely distance itself. This is not the time to worry (about) anyone’s feelings,” Griffin continued. “And let’s be clear: Trump has said the worst things about Democrats almost every day for a decade. fake, they (really) don’t want me in their ranks.”

She finished: “There is a direct line from good men in politics like McCain and Mitt Romney, who are unfairly demonized by the left (remember folders full of women?) to Trump. Many R’s have decided if the left is going to tear down good men who play fair, why not set up a bully to strike back.”

Amid backlash over the report, Biden issued a statement addressing his remarks on Xtrying to clarify its position in the crucial days before the vote.

“Earlier today, I called the hateful rhetoric about Puerto Rico spewed by a Trump supporter at his rally at Madison Square Garden trash—that’s the only word I can think of to describe it,” the 82-year-old said. “His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable. That’s all I wanted to say. The comments at this rally do not reflect who we are as a nation.”

On Wednesday, View also played a clip of Harris addressing Biden’s subsequent comments.

“First of all, he clarified his comments, but let me be clear: I strongly disagree with any criticism of people based on who they vote for,” Harris said in the video. “I believe my job is to represent the interests of all people, whether they support me or not.”

On air Whoopi Goldberg took a swipe at Republicans trying to weaponize Biden’s comments against him and the Harris campaign, while Griffin detailed her feelings. “When they hear the President of the United States, who was Kamala Harris’ running mate, call them trash, they say, ‘See, they’re not with us,'” Griffin assessed. “I understand his return, but it will be shocking to the tens of millions of people who believe in it.”

Goldberg later noted that comments from Trump and his supporters have disparaged a wide range of people over the years, including Harris herself.

“When you say I’m undecided and don’t know if I trust them and now they’re saying this about us… Kamala’s pimps?” Goldberg asked, referencing recent rhetoric comparing Harris to being controlled by men , while Sunny Hostin noted that Trump recently compared America to a trash can on immigration at a recent campaign event.

Both Harris and Biden have appeared on television recently. Viewas talk shows have long been an important stop for political candidates ahead of presidential elections.

Harris’s appearance led to attacks on the ad from the right after she revealed Sunny Hostin that she couldn’t immediately think of anything she would do differently under her administration compared to the Biden administration.

Biden also gave a recent interview on the show in which moderator Goldberg tell him to his face that she didn’t like how Democrats publicly lobbied for him to drop out of the race over concerns about his age.

In another View news, producer Brian Teta recently spoke about At the table podcast that the co-hosts will not participate in the annual fan-favorite Halloween costume contest because the holiday portion of the talk show typically requires a lot of time and preparation for elaborate pre-recorded segments, and the panelists want to spend more time talking about the Nov. 5 presidential election.
