IN viral video on TikTokDavis was seen drumming to Red Hot Chili Peppers1999 hit “Otherside” on Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade in front of an audience of one. The camera zooms in to reveal that the man is none other than Chad Smithdrummer for the Peppers.

Davis found out about this video and posted an answerconfirming that he was not aware of who was sitting in front of him.

“Yesterday I was playing Otherside by the Red Hot Chili Peppers and halfway through I noticed someone was getting really emotional, which is not unusual,” Davis wrote in his repost of the video. “But when I finished, several people told me that I had just played under Chad Smith, the drummer for RHCP.”

“Hearing him say I sounded good on a track he’s known for? Totally surreal,” Davis continued. “I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me!”
