Hedge fund titan Ken Griffin reveals which presidential candidate has the edge in the ‘coin toss’ race

Hedge fund billionaire Ken Griffin said he expects former President Donald Trump to retake the White House next week on Election Day.

Citadel’s CEO called the race between Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris “almost a coin toss” during a discussion at the Saudi Future Investment Summit this week. According to Bloomberg.

But he thinks Trump has the edge to win.

“Donald Trump is now expected to win the White House in just a few days, and we’ll know soon enough,” Griffin reportedly noted. “We are in a moment of peak uncertainty.”

While Griffin has transferred millions of dollars to GOP candidates, he has not donated directly to the Trump campaign. Forbes reported this.

Polls show Trump and Harris essentially neck-and-neck, with Election Day less than a week away.

Griffin also reportedly stated during the forum that end of the presidential race will bring some clarity to the markets.

“In general, a reduction in uncertainty almost always has a positive effect on asset prices,” he said.

“I would say that after the election, there will generally be a risk to the environment as people come to accept a new regime, whether it’s a Harris regime or a Trump regime,” he continued. “This uncertainty will be left behind.”
