Rosenfeld’s Deli Sets Tentative Opening Date

Dive in: The city of Salisbury is set to welcome a new face to its ever-growing business scene this fall.

Rosenfeld’s Jewish Delicatessen has announced a likely grand opening date of November 8, 2024 for its new store at 923 Mount Hermon Road. The deli is located in the same shopping center as Goin’ Nuts Café, which closed permanently on June 4, 2024.

Renting a new grocery store premises which will be run by two longtime employees, Gena Bratcher and Kasia Haddaway. was signed in July. Additionally, the deli received approval from Britney Ames of the Wicomico County Health Department on Oct. 29.

ROSENFELD’S GASTROIN IS CLOSING IN OCEAN CITY: Rosenfeld’s Jewish deli looks back on the past 11 years in Ocean City and sees a bright future ahead.

The long-awaited move of the traditional kosher deli to Salisbury comes after its original location permanently closed in the popular resort town of Ocean City, Maryland, on September 24, 2024, after 11 successful years in business.

The deli also operates two additional locations in Rehoboth Beach and South Bethany, Delaware.

SALISBURY INTERNATIONAL FOOD SCENE: Two new restaurants in Salisbury are bringing an international flair to the city with Thai and Indian dishes.

The building’s interior will feature a colorful image of the deli’s playful logo reading “Peace, Love, Pastrami,” along with a combination of Yiddish words, famous Jewish people and framed photographs of Israel. birthplace of the Jewish people and much more.

“I just wanted to have another place so we could spread some happiness,” Warren Rosenfeld, founder of Rosenfeld’s Jewish Delicatessen, previously told Delmarva Now.

“So please share this with all your friends, please get ready for some delicious Jewish food and thank you for welcoming us into your beautiful community,” the deli said in an Oct. 29 Facebook post. “We look forward to serving you!”
