Former Washington Nationals World Series hero set to retire after title with Dodge

The Los Angeles Dodgers clinched their eighth World Series championship on Wednesday night by defeating the New York Yankees in Game 5 of the World Series.

The Dodgers, who had the best record in the league this season, also won their second title since the 2020 season.

It was the third World Series win of Mookie Betts’ career and the second for a host of other Dodgers players, including reliever Daniel Hudson. Hudson also won the title with the 2019 Washington Nationals.

And Hudson is set to come out on top, confirming that he plans to retire now. FOX Sports’ Per Rowan Kavner on social media:

Daniel Hudson has confirmed that he will call it a career. It took a lot of effort to get through this year, and many before it: “I can’t get another 162.” He’ll finish it on top.

Hudson played 15 years in the major leagues for the Chicago White Sox, Arizona Diamondbacks, Pittsburgh Pirates, Dodgers, Toronto Blue Jays, Nationals and San Diego Padres. He is now 37 years old.

He made his debut with the White Sox in 2009 and was an integral part of the team. citizensThe World Series will be held in 2019 and will be closer to the time of acquisition.

He is a 65-45 lifetime pitcher with a 3.74 ERA. He was a starter for parts of his career, even winning 16 games for the Diamondbacks in 2011.

He also made 17 career postseason appearances, posting a 1-2 record and 6.00 ERA. In 2019, Hudson made four saves in the playoffs for the Nats.
