Sam McCall death on General Hospital Port Charles residents and fans alike are reeling. While the focus was on Lulu’s survival prospects, things took a different direction. Healthy Sam donated part of his liver to Lulu. After the transplant, she seemed to be on her way to a full recovery… but then she died suddenly. Since it was announced that Kelly Monaco was let go from the showThe reaction from fans has been visceral and now there is an outpouring of grief over Sam’s passing.

The emotion was palpable

On InstagramPhotographer Lisa M. Pollack responded to Daily Drama’s report on Sam’s death with profound words: “Thank you, Kelly Monaco, for giving us Sam McCall, who will be sorely missed. Kelly is an incredible actress who deserves awards and recognition for all her years on GH. It’s a shame that GH couldn’t do right by Kelly. Today’s episode was emotional. Sam’s death was devastating.”

Although many criticized the show’s writing, they still have Sam’s memories and legacy. And let’s not forget that she is Kassadin. Perhaps Helena (Constance Towers) arranged for Sam to be placed in suspended animation and revived a few years later. One can only hope.
