Hip-Hop Reacts to Young Thug’s Jail to Freedom Journey

Young Thug is now free after serving more than two and a half years in prison at the Cobb County Correctional Facility while fighting a YSL RICO case brought against him by the State of Georgia.

Under the terms of his release, Young Thug will be on probation for 15 years, during which he will be prohibited from promoting any gang-related content and must avoid contact with gang members or co-defendants, with the exception of his brother and Gunna. He has also been banned from the Atlanta metro area for the next decade, although he can return for certain family events, including weddings, funerals, graduations or in the event of a serious illness.

In addition, Young Thug is required to hold four annual anti-gang/gun presentations or concerts in the Atlanta area and discourage others from joining gangs. However, he is allowed to travel outside of Georgia to work and create music, allowing him to resume his career while complying with probation rules. Since his release, countless stars have shared posts in support of Thug’s homecoming, including T.I., who previously predicted the release of fellow Atlanta rapper.

“Welcome home baby,” TI wrote in a celebratory tweet. “It’s been too long… It’s time to get back to this!!! #KingJeffrey @youngthug.”

Thug’s girlfriend, Mariah Scientist, immediately responded to the news by sharing a post on her Instagram Story in which she wrote, “THANK GOD!!!!!!!!!”

Sexy Red added: “THEY RELEASED THE TWINS!!!” and ATL producer Jacob also chimed in, writing, “Bro released for Halloween…Welcome home @youngthug.”

Kid Cudi also celebrated Thug’s newfound freedom in a pair of tweets, praising the divine forces that helped bring the multi-platinum rapper home safe and sound.

“Praise be to Allah that they allowed this man to return home,” wrote Jay Electronica. “Be a great slug.”

Producer LondoOnTheTrack also echoed similar sentiments, writing: “Thank God my boy is coming home!” in a tweet celebrating the moment.

Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” producer Mustard also responded to the news, writing, “WHAT A DAY!!!!!!”

Chicago rapper Lucki may be behind a couple of the most interesting reactionary tweets, between his assessment of Judge Paige Whitaker’s handling of Thug’s guilty plea and the petition he shared for the freedom of Lil Durk, who was recently arrested in Thug’s guilty plea. . murder-for-hire charge.

“She doesn’t even reach into his pockets with fines,” Lucky wrote. “Bro, make this woman president.”

In another tweet, Luckey added: “Ms. Whitaker says this rap doesn’t sound like WWE (goat emoji). Wow, look at Miss Love Face when she called him Talented.”
