One person killed, one seriously injured in shooting near Center and Oliver

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – One person is dead and another is in critical condition after a shooting near Central and Oliver.

The shooting happened just after 10 p.m. Thursday near the Quicktrip shopping center at Central and Oliver streets.

Sedgwick County dispatch confirmed that two people were admitted to a local hospital with gunshot wounds. One person died from his wounds and another is in critical condition.

The Wichita Police Department arrested two people at the scene. Quickrip is closed and traffic is blocked in the area.
